Favicon Generator

Turn any image into a complete favicon set: a multi-size favicon.ico, PNG icons in every common size, Apple touch and Android icons, a web manifest and the HTML tags to paste into your page. Download everything as a zip.

Everything runs locally in your browser. Your data never leaves your device.

PNG, JPEG, WebP or SVG. A square image of 512 px or more works best.

It never leaves your browser.

Icon options

Transparent pixels stay transparent in the PNGs and the ICO. Maskable Android icons always get an opaque fill (the manifest background color).

0%

Breathing room around the image. Maskable icons always keep at least 12% so launchers can crop them safely.

App details

#ffffff

Tints the browser UI on mobile, via the manifest and the theme-color meta tag.

#ffffff

Splash-screen background in the manifest, and the fill behind maskable icons when the background is kept transparent.

Next steps

Send this tool's output straight into another tool.

Shrink any image with as little quality loss as possible. Pick a WhatsApp, Instagram or Discord preset, or switch to Custom to hit a hard file size or a fixed quality, downscale with aspect-locked resolution sliders, and keep or strip EXIF metadata. Live preview, multiple images at once.

Convert images between JPEG, PNG, WebP and AVIF. Drop in as many as you like, pick a format, and dial in the quality for the lossy ones. When you convert to JPEG, choose the colour that fills any transparency. Live previews, download one or all at once.

See and edit the EXIF metadata inside a photo, then download it with your changes or save a copy with all metadata removed, GPS included. It reads JPEG, PNG, HEIC and more, and edits JPEG files.

Copy the EXIF metadata from one photo onto another without changing the destination's pixels. That covers camera model, lens, focal length, exposure, GPS and more. Choose to replace all metadata or only fill in what the source provides.

Draw arrows, boxes, text, highlights and numbered steps on a screenshot, blur or pixelate anything private, crop the result and add a watermark. Undo works as you expect, and the finished image downloads as PNG or JPG or goes straight to your clipboard.

Convert text into every case at once: title case in the APA, AP, Chicago, MLA, Bluebook, AMA and NYT styles, sentence case, upper, lower, camelCase, snake_case, kebab-case and more, each with its own copy button.

Count words, characters, sentences, paragraphs, lines and more as you type, with estimated reading and speaking time.

Remove duplicate lines from a list or text, keeping the first occurrence. Optionally ignore case and whitespace, or drop blank lines too.

Replace text in two modes: plain find and replace all, or regular expressions with flag controls and capture group references like $1.

About the Favicon Generator

This tool turns one image into the complete favicon set a site needs. Drop in a logo and it renders a multi-size favicon.ico, PNG icons from 16 to 512 pixels including the Apple touch icon and the Android Chrome icons, maskable variants for Android launchers, a ready site.webmanifest and the HTML tags to paste into your page head.

You stay in control of how the icons come out. A non-square image can be padded or center-cropped, transparency can be kept or filled with a color, and a padding slider gives tight artwork breathing room. Live previews show every size, including a mock browser tab, and everything downloads on its own or as one zip.

What you can do

  • Convert a PNG, JPEG, WebP or SVG image into a favicon.ico.
  • Generate every common favicon size: 16, 32, 48, 96, 180, 192 and 512 pixels.
  • Create the apple-touch-icon and android-chrome icons, plus maskable variants.
  • Get a site.webmanifest with editable app name, theme color and background color.
  • Copy the HTML link and meta tags for your page head.
  • Pad or crop a non-square image into a square icon.
  • Download the whole set as one zip.

How to use the Favicon Generator

  1. 1Drop in your logo or icon artwork. A square image of 512 pixels or more gives the sharpest set.
  2. 2If the image is not square, choose whether to pad it or crop it to a square.
  3. 3Keep transparency or fill the background with a color, and add padding if the artwork sits too close to the edge.
  4. 4Fill in the app name and the theme and background colors for the web manifest.
  5. 5Check the live previews, then download single files or everything as a zip.
  6. 6Copy the HTML tags into your page's <head> and put the files in your site root.

What is in the set

The favicon.ico carries the 16, 32 and 48 pixel versions in one file, so browsers that ask for /favicon.ico get a sharp icon at any of those sizes. The loose PNGs cover the classic link tags (16, 32, 96), the 180 pixel apple-touch-icon iOS uses for home-screen bookmarks, and the 192 and 512 pixel android-chrome icons the web manifest points at. The manifest also lists the maskable variants, ships the app name and colors, and is what makes the icons show up when someone installs your site as an app.

Maskable icons, explained

Android launchers cut app icons into their own shapes, usually a circle or a rounded square. A maskable icon opts into that cropping, so anything near the edge can be cut away. The generated maskable variants keep your image inside the safe zone with at least 12 percent padding per side and always get an opaque background, so nothing important is lost to the mask and no launcher shows a black box behind transparency.

PNG inside the ICO

The ICO container here embeds real PNG data instead of the old uncompressed bitmap format, which keeps favicon.ico small without losing quality. Every current browser and Windows version reads PNG-compressed ICO files.

The tool always resizes from the image you give it. For a precise manual crop first, run the image through the Image Cropper & Resizer, and to change the source format itself use the Image Converter.

Create barcodes in dozens of formats, from EAN-13, UPC-A and Code 128 to QR Code, Data Matrix and PDF417. Type the content, tune the size, colors and text options, and download the result as PNG or SVG.

Shrink an SVG with SVGO. Paste the markup or drop a file, toggle every optimizer plugin individually, set the numeric precision and multipass, and compare the size before and after. Copy the result or download it as a file.

Enter a resolution to get its simplified aspect ratio, or start from a ratio and one side to get the missing dimension. Knows the common ratios like 16:9, 4:3 and 21:9 and shows how close your size is to each.

See any image the way people with a color vision deficiency see it. Upload a picture and preview protanopia, deuteranopia, tritanopia, the milder anomalous forms and monochromacy next to the original, then download any simulation as a full resolution PNG.

Pull the dominant colors out of any image as a ready-to-copy palette. Choose how many colors you want, copy each one as HEX, RGB or HSL, and export the whole palette at once.

See and edit the EXIF metadata inside a photo, then download it with your changes or save a copy with all metadata removed, GPS included. It reads JPEG, PNG, HEIC and more, and edits JPEG files.
