Shrink a PDF's file size by re-encoding its pages at a chosen quality and resolution. See the size before and after, preview the result, and tune the quality until size and readability balance.

Hash text or a file with MD5, SHA-1, SHA-256, SHA-512, SHA-3, BLAKE2, BLAKE3, CRC32 and more, all computed live as you type. Compare against an expected checksum and copy any digest.

Verify a checksum online: drop a file, paste the expected checksum and see instantly whether they match. The hash type is detected from the checksum itself, covering MD5, SHA-1, SHA-256, SHA-512, BLAKE3, CRC-32 and more, and sha256sum lines or whole checksum files can be pasted as-is.

Compress text or a file with gzip, deflate, brotli or Zstandard and see the size before and after, the compression ratio and how long it took. One click tries every method and recommends the smallest result.

Decompress gzip, deflate, brotli or Zstandard data from a file or pasted Base64 and read the result as text or download it. Detects the format from the magic bytes where possible, with a manual override.

Inspect any file or text as a hex dump with offsets, byte values and an ASCII column. Jump to an offset, search for bytes or text, select a range to see it decoded as integers and strings, and copy or download the dump.

Render every page of a PDF as an image. Choose PNG or JPEG, set the resolution, pick single pages or a range, then download pages one by one or all at once as a zip.

Encrypt any file with a password using AES-256-GCM, or decrypt a file that was encrypted here. Strong key derivation and integrity protection built in.

About the PDF Merger & Splitter Tool

This tool merges PDFs into one file or splits a PDF into smaller ones. Drop in your files, see every page as a thumbnail, and arrange things exactly how you want before anything is written.

When merging you can drag whole files or single pages into a new order and remove pages you do not need. When splitting you can type page ranges like 1-3, 7, click pages to pick them, cut every page out as its own file, or chop the document into fixed chunks.

What you can do

  • Combine several PDF files into one document.
  • Reorder PDF pages with drag and drop before merging.
  • Remove single pages from a PDF.
  • Extract a page range like 1-3, 7 into a new PDF.
  • Split every page of a PDF into its own file.
  • Cut a PDF into chunks of a fixed page count.
  • Download several result PDFs at once as a zip.

How to use the PDF Merger & Splitter

  1. 1Drop one or more PDF files onto the upload area.
  2. 2Pick Merge or Split.
  3. 3For a merge, drag files and pages into order and remove pages you do not want.
  4. 4For a split, choose page ranges, every page, or fixed chunks. In ranges mode you can also click page thumbnails to pick them.
  5. 5Press the merge or split button, then download each result or all of them as a zip.

Page ranges, in detail

A range entry is a single page like 7 or a span like 2-5, separated by commas. A reversed span like 5-2 keeps those pages in reverse order, and listing a page twice repeats it, so ranges double as a reordering tool. When splitting by ranges you choose whether each range becomes its own PDF or all listed pages land in one file.

Password protected and damaged files

A password protected PDF cannot be opened, so the tool asks you to remove the password first. A file that is not a valid PDF is reported with a clear message instead of producing a broken result.

Send the result onward

A merged file can get large. Send it straight to the PDF Compressor to shrink it, or to the PDF to Images if you need the pages as pictures.
